Nicotine Stains

Hi , Can anyone tell me the best ratio for oil based undercoat / turps to cover heavily stained nictoine ceilings
I am on the 5th coat and its still coming through !!!!

On another note i have just discovered some beutiful ceiling joists / beams that had been boxed off with skirting boards ( ) i belive bees wax will bring them up very nice but not sure what to clean them with as they are very dirty ? would watered down vineger be ok ?

One coat, let it dry then go to water based. The tar will then be locked in.

How much turps do i need to add to the oil based paint ? 50/50 ?

No. Just so it flows without brush marks. Just a dribble.
