yellow stain bleeding through newly painted ceiling

ronseal stainblock. it's not as white as the brilliant white emulsion, but works well.

forgot to say that I diluted it slightly. the manual says 20% for porous surfaces, I did around 10%. was a bit paranoid I won't have enough for the room and the corridor.

[. so I think even a water-based sealer (whatever) should do the trick, if it's allowed to polymerise.

it will - Zinsser make a water based one !
