nissan micra wont start 52 plate

Tried to start this morning but nothing happend .

it kept turning over but would not fire up .

Im going to have a look at it in a bit , and suggestions where / what to check first

It was petrol in and it turns over ( so batt not flat )

I'd say you have flooded it mate. Did you start it up at all yesterday and not move it??? You'd need to take fuel pump fuse out and crank it over for a bit, or call the RAC to do it if you are unsure.

I agree. Micra's are notorious for flooding and can be a real struggle to restart.

Basic Procedure is to remove fuel pump fuse, crank engine until it fires, replace fuse, crank until it fires and run engine at 2000 rpm for 5 mins to clear unburnt fuel out.
