No heating - help please!!!

I have a ferroli optimax 25c combi but have got home tonight to find no heating. Hot water works fine and pressure is fine. Thermostat comes on in the hall but no response at the boiler. Someone has suggested this could be the diverter valve and I will get a plumber out but is there
anything I can do to get the heating on until the plumber arrives at some point tomorrow?

take the white case off.turn your timer on,t`stat up.the motorised valve should motor over to port b which is heating.

the m.v plugs into another plug coming from the pcb so you can check to see if there is voltage there.

is there any codes? have you had the display pcb changed recently?

any repairs at all recently?

start by taking the white case off,dont worry your not breaking any seals.

the motorised valve is on your left (white box with a/b on it)

turn heating on and stat up and the valve should motor over to port b-heating

the wire from the m.v goes to a male plug which plugs into a female plug coming from red ignition box on the gas valve.

if the valve isnt motoring across check for voltage at this plug.

voltage=m.v faulty
no voltage= further investigation
