No Hot water pressure from immersion

Hi all,
Just got a phone call from my uncle to say the downstairs shower which is run off immersion has no pressure when on hot and that the hot tap in the sink is the same. Im not a plumber but Ive done a few odd jobs for him,I imagne if I poke around long enough il find somthing(or maybe not) but if anyone expeirienced anything like this before I would be very gratefull for any info which may help my search.

Not sure if it is relevent but electric shower upstairs is working fine

the electric shower is mains cold fed . check to see if the ballcock in the cold water storage that feeds the hot water cylinder is working. and the tank has'nt run dry.

Assuming this is a recent change from an installation that was previously running OK.

If you have an upstairs hot tap that runs off the immersion heated water, and it is running OK, there may be a blockage in the pipe feeding and affecting the downstairs hot water.

all was running well,up untill last week. he reckons there is a filter in the line somewhere but I wouldnt think there is. thanks for help lads

there could be a possibilty a y strainer was fitted on the hot supply to the bathroom to protect the shower. as shown in the pic in the link below

look in the cold water tank for traces of a drowned mouse that has got sucked into the pipe.

Fit a new cover to keep out future wildlife. Or it might be a bit of insulation or something.
