Do u have a combi boiler or do u have a hot water cylinder(tank)?
If its a tank its a certainty that dirt has made it up to the ballcock and is blocking it. Go into loft and give the ballcock arm a shake. If tank is full it means u have an airlock in the hot waterpipework.

air lock on the hot, thats if u have a tank in the atic an a copper cylinder, if u have a mixer tap in the kitchen open the hot side up put your hand over the outlet of the tap an open the cold up, you may get wet so keep tight hold give it few mins, turn the cold off an try the hot again see if it runs
