The sine 18 T3W is an obsolete product according to vaillant - it must be over 25 years old. Honour it, salute it, and bury it! You wouldn't let an animal suffer this long ;)

belt up you the sine 18 was the first combi i ever fitted
right beast mind
i would think your prob is with the wax capsule
exept you cant get them now
diverters are expensive

you have to ask yourself "do you think its worth it "

me yeah i do but then i know how to sort it ;)

beerlover is right btw im just an old warhorse ;)

It sounds as if the diaphragm section underneath has failed and is not pushing the pin on top of it to operate the DHW demand switch.

Its either the gland has seized up or the diaphragm is failed ( or both ).

It can be done as a DIY repair but is a three spanner job as rated by Haynes manuals. i.e. only for experienced DIYers with good tools.
