Hey everyone.,

I dont seem to have any hot water in my house. And if I fiddle.. it seems the only heat i get is when the cetnral heating has been on for a bit.

I switch it off now it is summer.

BUt when the heating was on at the same time as the hot water i noticed a change from hot to warm in the shower.

BUt this problem i have relates to sinks (up and downstairs) , showers, baths.

Please Help everyone?

Many Thanks in Advance.

There's dozens of things it could be - you need to give us much more information otherwise we getting nowhere.

Is the timeclock etc powered up?

Is the boiler fireing up?

Can you feel the pump running?

Do the pipes get hot around the pump?

What motorised valves do you have?

Have you got an immersion heater as backup?

Any chance of pictures of the airing cupboard etc.

Visit this link I have uploaded some dig pics.. give each one about 20 ses to load.

Digital time clock is ON

PIlot light is on... and when we switch on central heating.. we get radiators on

no immersion heater as backup

3x pipes coming out of back of boiler.. all warm.. one hot.

motorised valves.. dont know ???

thanks for your replies.

the grey pump looking like thing above the pilot :) in 843... is not vibrating.

a blue spherical object towards the back of the boiler and to the right is not vibrating either..

if this helps..
thanks in advance

I've just had a look at your pics & unless my eyes deceive me, the pilot light looks as if its choked. not related to the fault yu describe but you'll def need a CORGI fella in to sort that ASAP. The HW problem should be sorted by him quite easily on the same visit.
Prob not quite what you wanted to hear but I think thats the best way out for you.

As garethgas says pilot is blocked, the boiler appears not to have had any servicing for a long time. Call someone out to service etc.

And remove the clothes on top - this is an open flued boiler - if the clothes fall down and block the front it will produce carbon monoxide.

This scenario has had led to many CO incidents and fires.

Pilot light is strong.. i think the photo makes it hard for people to see this.

ok to the cloths.

i'll get someone out.. of course i will, however, is there anything else i can do as a test to ensure it is not something simple that can be easily rectified.

Many Thanks everyone.

The pilot is yellow - which indicates the gas is not burning properly and is producing carbon monoxide due to insufficient air.

Given the accumulation off dust and lint around the front of the boiler indicates to us it probably hasn't had a good service/safety check in years. Therfore the main burner may not be safe either.

So I not going to offer any more advice on resolving the problems other than to get someone in to sort out the boiler and the other issues.

Not intending to offend but posting photo's out of focus and not reducing them to a sensible size tells me you 're prrobably not best suited to resolving the boiler problem.
