Just purchased new wc. Has push button type syphon fitted at the top of the cistern. Only one small hole for the water inlet and one large hole for syphon. No overflow hole! WHY? What if it overflows?

But seriously folks...... most new ones have an internal overflow which exits into the pan. :D

he said "purchased". did he install it too??? if so, rtfi

It's a new water saving measure, if you dont get the ballvalve serviced anally by a registered plumber and send off money to IOP and they contact the water board and the council and send a certificatee then it ****ses all over the floor as revenge, oooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, it's built into the cistern to go into the pan, what do you think

GRC - I gather the term is making the overflow 'self-evident' - i.e. if the traditional overflow pipe exits out through the wall of the building at an area not frequented by you, it could dribble for weeks and you don't notice. If it dribbles constantly into the WC pan, you may still not notice, but you're certainly more likely to......

And because it wont be a nusiance you wont bother getting it fixed theraby wasting water like millions of other new type toilet users, lets have a vote, get the toilet overflow fixed or go down the pub to drink and smoke ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, thought so
