I have just moved into a house and we have two connected regular boilers, three room stats and TRVs but no programmer. Presumably the central heating is keeping the house to the desired temperature all the time and also the pressurised hotwater cylinder is being kept hot all the time. Would is be more economical to fit a programmer or are the thermostats doing the work?

Surely somebody that fits accumulators knows how to answer that question himself.

Two of the stats can be programmed (siemens) but this only seems to control the room temperatures upstairs (not hot water). The third stat is one of the old honeywell dials which controls all of downstairs.

In answer to the other post I did not fit the accumulator myself a plumber did it.
