hi all,
i drained my system down to fit new lockshield vales c/w drain points to all of our lower radiators, upon refilling the pump is noisy and so is the boiler. we have a thorn apollo 15/30b on a vented system with flowshare valve. when the pump and boiler shuts down you can hear water gurgling back into the boiler, does this mean an air lock possibly or a blockage ???

Gurgling noise sounds like air somewhere.
Aav would do the job probably. Or pump possibly on its last legs.

thanks bengasman
the pump is brand new, will check for trapped air pocket, i take it that that trapped air would also cause the boiler to overheat and trip the overheat causing the pilot to go out on a high heat setting ?????
