Hi

I have a Worcester 28 CDi combi (about 2 years old) and have just started experiencing some problems. It has started to make quite a loud whirling noise when operating for the water or heating (it is obviosuly quiet when not on). It is not really loud, but loud enough to easily hear (and wake you up during the night) which obviously makes me think something isnt right. It is of only the last couple of days that I have experienced this, and dont want to leave it incase something serious is up.

Does anyone have any suggestions about this, any info would be really helpful as we have no idea ourself (it's our first house) and cant really afford to unnecesarily call out a plumber if it is only minor.

Many thanks in advance
Chris.

PS - We have thought about joining the British Gas monthly payment plan, but have never really got round to it - would they be able to help with problems such as this?

The best that I can describe it as...is a low pitched wirring noise - thinking about it...it does sound a bit like a fan. If it is the fan, what does this mean/why has it started coming on?
