noisy neons

(After a power failure for about an hour) - I've found that with power restored some of the neon lights in the house are making loud noises. Sorry, sounds banal but any ideas? thanks Gene

Well, the power hasn't necessarily been restored to its original quality... Maybe worth waiting a while or asking your distributor if your power is back to normal quality...

Have you tried turning the lights off for a while and switching them back on?

you said "neons" what exactly do you mean, could you describe them, as a neon light is what shops have, you know fancy lettering that says "joes shoes"

I dunno, I know of at least one house with plenty of neons in it. The owner is a bit of an arty type.

9 to 1 says it is fluorescent tubes though
