Does anyone know how I can transfer a ring tone from one Nokia phone to another?

The models involved are :3330, 3410 and 1100.

The 1100 does not have a bog-standard "ring ring" tone. Is that crazy or what?

No!!! I hate the beast!

What I want to do is salvage a couple of tones off the old 3330 before it goes to the CPW in the sky. Also, I want a bog-standard Ring Ring tone for the 1100 - it doesn't have one built-in - Nokia in their wisdom have left it out, but kept all the other obscure w*nky ones that nobody uses...

Can you get a parliamentary Tone ? ...... A Blair tone ... " Don't lie for me man of Straw-aw.."
:D :D

I don't think you can change the ring tones in the 1100 but you can compose your own using the in-built ringtone composer.

OK, so how do I create a low frequency ringing ring tone using the composer?

It's a long time since I've used a composer on a phone, but I would imagine you should do the following: where N equals whatever note you choose:.... NNNNNNN rest NNNNNNN rest rest rest, stop there and it should repeat. Your manual should tell you how to key in notes of various pitch, and how to create rests of required length. From what I remember, you will also have to reduce the length of the "N" note to about a 16th to get the desired effect but the manual should tell you how to do this also.

go to your composer and type in the following

1d2 4d2 4e2 2#f2 1g2 4a2 4a1 4d2 4#c2 8#f2 8#f2 8e2 4#f2 4e2 4#f2 4e2 8e2 4b2 4a2 8#f2 8#f2 8e2 4#f2 4e2 4d2 4d2 8e2 2e2 8#f2 8#f2 8e2 4#f2 4e2 4#f2 4e2 8e2 4b2 4a2 8#f2 8#f2 8e2 4#f2 4e2 4d2 4d2 8e2 2e2
