Morning all,
Looking at replacing the fencing at the bottom of my garden with a non retaining wall made out of block. The size would be approx. 2.7m in length and 2m high, and the block would be standard 100mm blocks. one end would be connected to an existing wall, and the other end will have a pier on as I am going to be putting up a wooden gate, however I was wondering if a wall of this size would need an additional pier halfway along for stability or not?
Going by some of the online brick calculators, that sized wall without the piers would be around 55 blocks or so, so I want to make sure I order enough blocks as my local merchant supplies them in pallets of 72.
Thanks
