Non-standard thread on shower trap flange

Hi folks. I'm new to this forum so would like to say hello to all. I hope someone will be able to help me with this.

The flange section of the trap in my shower snapped and I am trying to find a replacement which will fit. It is a standard 1.5" fitting but the thread is much tighter than all of the spares I have looked at at local plumbers merchants, B&Q etc. The shower tray is completely sealed by wall and floor tiles with no access so replacing the whole trap is not a feasible option.

Has anyone heard of any manufacturers who use finer threads on their fittings? Can anyone offer any advice at all?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Never heard of that sorry, If you've tried all your local suppliers, and the internet, the only option you're left with is you would have to remove the tray, it's th only option if you want to get it going sorry.

If your shower is upstairs, cut out a panel on the ceiling below the shower tray

if downstairs and there's enough depth in the solum, cut a hatch in the floor in an adjacent

room and gain access from there to replace the trap.

Inspect very carefully what of the trap you can see, (magnifying glass may help!) for any indication of manufacturer. If possible post a photo on here, someone might just recognise it!

Failing that, if you cant find anything to suit the only option is to replace the trap. If demolishing the bathroom is really not an option is it possible to access from underneath via the ceiling below?

Thanks for the advice guys. Will see if I can see any sign of manufacturer with closer inspection. I had wondered about accessing from the room below but didnt know if that was something that could be done but sounds like a fallback option.
