I uninstalled Norton Security as I did not want to re subscribe, but it keeps coming up and will not let me install another Security, it does not appear in add or remove programme and I do not know what else to try can anyone help please.

No, I do use the uninstaller. I'm just saying that it doesn't actually remove everything. Most of what it leaves behind is just useless junk, but occasionally it is actually something that results in a running process or two that are totally unnecessary.

norton do have removal tools that will get rid of all of the **** that their crap installs. the same is true of mcafee.
