A mate was telling me he has a new old stock central heating boiler he wants to sell, a Worcester 240 Combi, GC No. 47 311 10. I was not sure if anyone would be allowed to install such a boiler now as it probably does not meet current efficiency standards etc. The documentation with it is dated 1994. Would it be better to break it for spares and sell them on Ebay or is he onto a hiding to nothing with this boiler? He seems to think it's worth £500 but I suspect you would have to find a particularly gullible purchaser located in Cloud-Cuckooland to achieve such a price.
