notebook base/stand safe?

Hello. I have just purchased a Notebook (Medion). It size is 36by26cm.
I would like to tilt it slightly forward using a purpose manufactured stand to allow more airflow and ease of use. My son has said that this might unbalance the computers own airflow system.

If it is ok to tip the computer ,would anyone know where I might be able to purchase a suitable base.

Stands are ok. Dare I say that you can pick them up at PCW cheap enuf.
