Recently demolished an old shed and new replacement is on order.

The shed was standing on a paving slab of a base 2ft x 2ft x 2" covering an area of 8ft x 6ft.

Started to check and adjust the levels of the slabs as some had sunk. When lifting, found a cluster of snail shells and a hole of approx 3cm assuming this is mice. ?

I have purchased a roll of galvanised welded wire 13mm sq mesh. I was going to use some of this to stop them going under the actual shed between its slab base and shed base.

But how deep would I have to go around the perimeter of the slab base with the mesh to stop the mice or whatever going back under the base.
