Notification email not working properly

And I can't help you, because apparently I cannot change my registration email address, only the address that's shown in the profile.
(Or am I overlooking something?)

The other email address field is if someone wants to list a publicly viewable email address, it can be the same or different, but it's not used for any site communications.

The one in the account settings page is the one used for site communications.

Have changed it to another email account, please post another reply so I can see if the problem is at my end?
