Nursing shortage to increase by 1

Even Boris Johnson had his life saved by the NHS. Andy says it was a waste of money.
Now that was a waste of money. Interesting that one of the nurses responsible for saving the life of the useless blond bombast, a Kiwi, packed in and went home - because the Tory government does not value the NHS or its' staff. A lot of NHS staff are starting to feel the same

Can't defend that and easy grounds to sack her. Bringing bother her employer and profession in to disrepute
On those grounds shouldn't the current front bench also be sacked? They've trashed the reputation of this country more effectively than anyone

We get to sack them every 5 years. But I don't hear any Conservative MPs proposing to reduce services or discriminate against people based on their voting intentions.

Simple gross misconduct. she should be sacked, more so because she now claims to be the victim in her follow up postings. What she should have done is unreservedly apologised, claimed heat of the moment off the cuff comment and that she was wrapped up in the passion of the moment etc. But then I don't give legal advice to labour voters.. oh wait.. I don't care who you vote for.

But you do hear Conservative MPs discriminarw against people based on their financial circumstances - like that ignorant, conceited dickhead in Rossendale.

As to every 5 years, what happened to the concept that a government is given a mandate based on their electoral manifesto, and that Truss has abandoned the Tory manifesto and should therefore go to the country to allow the people to decide if her ideas are fit for purpose (spoiler alert: they aren't)

Victim of what? Oh yes, here own screwed up view of the world (this is, after all, a woman who allowed Australia and NZ to bend us over at the trade negotiation table - then described the deals as great deals). She is incompetent, she has damaged this country, she should have resigned. It is called honour. It's that simple

Cheese, anyone?

She's got to be sacked John, no ifs, no buts. Wishing death on political opponents isn't an ideal qualification in healthcare, I note she works for a private provider as opposed to NHS.
No, she needs to give her boss a serious listening to, and get on with her job.

Considering how the Tories have gutted the NHS de Piffle should count himself lucky he wasn't given a biblical enema during his time in hospital.

Or he could have spent 48 hours on a trolley in a corridor because the underesourced NHS was overwhelmed.

She's sounding like Ellal.
DNAR is a given for mottie/motman, the forum troll(s) ...

But in a quirk of fate, it'll be the offspring that it betrayed that will agree to pull the plug! (y)

She's appeared twice on the BBC recently, QT and some Jeremy Vine programme. I predict more appearances.

She's been mentioned several times on here as well.

By you, for example.

This is very puzzling. 11% of nurses leave in a year?

"Nurses and all health staff are passionate about making a difference for patients but colossal staff shortages and low pay mean it’s no wonder nurses are burned out, fed up and quitting in droves," Ms Gorton said.

She added that nurses are finding better-paid work elsewhere, including leaving the profession altogether.

“The government must wake up to this crisis and increase all health workers’ wages above inflation. The NHS and patients will be filled with dread at suggestions of public spending cuts following the government's reckless tax gamble.”

Can there be any connection?

The former Prime Minister said how grateful he was.

Are words not enough?

Do you think she should be sacked if she does not apologise. Do you think its right to withhold public service due to political orientation? Maybe all conservative voters should be locked up and re-educated?

Since she did not withold services, I think you probably mean "should she be sacked for expressing an opinion"

I think she probably has been.

In your line of work, would you consider 11% p.a. attrition to be worryingly high?
