Oak timber board?

Hello,

I am currently building a couple of alcove cupboards either side of the chimney breast.

The boss wants the tops in oak to match floors,door Etc..

Both cupboards are 550 x 750mm, Im having trouble finding solid oak timber boards to cover these sizes.

All I can find is veneered MDF with iron on edging, but didnt really want a complete square edge on the tops.

Ive though about fixing solid boards together but my carpentry is mediocre to say the least!

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to overcome this.

If you don't want to edge joint it yourself, then something like this may be the answer
