Oak veneer doors stain/varnish

What would be best to use as a clear varnish on oak veneered doors?

I like the natural colour of them but obviously they need protection

Water based varnish. Satin is a nice finish.
And won't mask the natural colour of the grain.

Should be guide with the door, some finishes cannot be used as they void guarantee.

As Foxhole said - Many finishes not supposed to go on Oak Veneer doors - but many ignore without issue (at least for now), including me.

I’ve bought water based ronseal clear satin. I’ll check the door instructions before I put it on though.
