Odd component in bathroom lock set

Impressive! But does it work for a tubular deadlock?

It does.

The job I was working on when I decided to purchase it had a mixture of tubular deadlocks and bathroom mortice locks. Previously, I would use a spade bit to fit the TBs but you had to drill two holes next to each other and then use two different chisels for the mortice and then 2 different chisels for the face plate.

I appreciate that if one is only doing a couple of doors, the Souber works out expensive but, IMO, once you have used one, you would not want to be without it.

They also have attachments for rebated french doors and a long bar which will let you drill a hole all the way through the length of the door (presumably useful for alarm systems).

I guess they are also useful for the double chain auto door closers.

They also sell cutters for aluminium doors.

There are cheaper "snide" versions available via the likes of Amazon. They might be equally good- I have no experience of using them though.
