Odd hot water issue

Hi all, hoping someone could help here

We have just moved in to a house with a combi oil boiler, waster ester greens lave 18/25. Central heating works great and very hot water on the lowest setting, we'll sort of. We can wash hands, run a couple of bowls of hot water but if we run the bath or shower it goes cold after a couple of minutes. If we run the water again it goes hot for a few seconds and the cold again.

If we leave it for 10 mins it will start producing hot water again as it did before.

Can anyone help here please

Sounds like a heat exchanger may be scaled up. You will need a registered gas safe engineer to confirm this. The hx can be Cleaned/repaired and sometimes you may just be better off buying a new boiler.
