In the summertime, at our house, the cold water tap runs warm for ages. I have to let it run for what seems like forever until i get a temperature that is palatable.
Today i discovered why.
I have been digging off my drive in readiness for a Staffy blue brick framed tarmac drive. Once sat on the three tonne digger i set about destroying the front lawn and what remained of our existing drive.
It took me three minutes to rip out the water main and upset the already showering, Mrs N! I turned off the road stop tap and nonchalantly carried on with the drive, much to the annoyance of the wife. I soon repaired it once it was first break time though.
The soft copper main tracked along the drive a couple of inches below the old 'mac for at least 4m
