Does anyone have any experience with TRIANCO WM15/19 boiler with a monoflame minor 1S burner. I was called out to look at a boiler continuosly going to lockout. On removing burner found the ignition leads arcing to burner body as well as the ignition transformer. The electrodes were also unserviceable, ie ceramic cracked etc. Also carried out a test on the control box and this failed . it wasnt carrying out test procedure correctly, ie pre-purge,burner light etc. all the timings were sporadic, sometimes it was working as per manufacturers spec others nothing at all.
Any way having replaced control box, transformer, new electrodes and ignition leads, oh and yes the nozzle also which was the wrong size.
Turned boiler on and RESULT fired up a treat and worked no problem. It then went off on either thermostat and when we turned thermostat back up it went to pre-purge for approx 6-7 secs then straight to lockout. The only thing we havent changed is the photo-cell, its as though its seeing light before pre-purge is complets and therefore locking out. We took out photo-cell and covered it and same problem. Once boiler been off for approx 15 mins its then fires up no problem and will keep running until either timer or thermostat shuts it off. If boiler then tries to fire up while warm then same problem again.

Two thoughts we have had are 1. change photocell , or 2.can the photocell see anything "glowing" in the combustion chamber ,and once its cooled down then starts ok

Im going to change the photo cell tomorro, and if this fails then im stumped, so after the war and peace above, does anyone have any other ideas please???
many thanks in advance

If the photo cell detects light it will lockout or fail safe.

cause could be leaky solonoid, illumination from combustion chamber etc.

Dirty boiler and or flue can cause poblems as well

thanks for the reply do it all, the boiler has been cleaned out , baffle plates and flu checked for being clear this is all fine. the only thing we can think of is faulty photocell or like you say something
"glowing" in the boiler after the first time of firing.

on the photocell is a little clamp, try different positions.
