As per the title..... I realise that litigation may play a big part here but replacement every year seems a bit steep.
Assuming the oil line has an easy route with no sharp bends or abrading against anything, what do Oftec people do?
I’m using the long life green or clear replacements, not very keen on the metal braided types but I do find them over 30 years old!

New grant boilers are supplied with a burner hose that has a one year life. They are truly cheap and nasty. They are a “soft “ braided type. The green and clear have a 3 year life I have seen many oil leaks from these new style one year hoses that have been left in service beyond that time , yet have come across others that are ok. Imagine a scenario such as a boiler in a basement with an oil tank above at ground level with a hose that could split. Basement fills with oil then burner fires. Eek . It’s very rare to see a solenoid safety valve linked to the burner live on the oil feed to basements in domestic properties. I always fit a green EOGB one and sleep soundly

As you've already alluded to, it depends on the construction of the hose. I use EOGB Ruby Red dual containment hoses which have a 5 year warranty and 10 year life expectancy
