hi can any one tell me i need to replace my oil pipe from tank to boiler only it has a size close to 10mm but a bit smaller also with fittings that you manipulate the pipe over bur over can i use 10mm copper pipe with compression fittings olives you know or is this special pipe and fittings because in the boiler housing the pipe is 10mm

Regulations say you must use flared fittings on oil line-sounds like thats what you've got on there now. ;)
 
youve got an old imperial pipe 3/8th? which will be 9.5mm outside diameter. so dont use 10mm compression fittings. it will leak, although ive seen bengal lancers wrap loads of ptfe around 'em. you need to flare the pipes and join together with flared fittings funnily enough.

ie 2x 10mm flared nuts and 1x 10mm flared union .male

Regulations do not say you have to use flared fittings, but either flared fittings or steel ferrules with compression fittings should be used with soft anealed copper, which is all the coiled stuff.

Do you need apipe as big as 10mm? Many installations are ok with 6mm, which is easier to fit, and is cheaper.
