With the advent of plastic oil tanks its very difficult to estimate consumption. ( the old metal tanks were square shape and a 2700ltr tank was 56lts per inch depth). The question is can a water meter be used to measure oil flow? Oil flow meters are expensive but water meters are available on Ebay for around a tenner. Oviously 10-15mm convertors would be needed but that is no problem.
TIA

If you know what size nozzle you have fitted to your boiler, it also has its output in gallons / litres per hour stamped on it. Depends on how accurate you want to measure it.
