Oil pipe routing.

Hi, I need to run a new oil pipe as the existing one is 22 years old and is under the patio. The new pipe will run around the house but between the tank and the house there is a path. It seems a poor solution to try and bury the pipe for 1.5m to reach the house wall. Is it within regs to put it in a conduit for that distance in a shallow trench. Any other solutions?.
