thanks Terrywookfit, i was going to use 15mm plastic so that will be ok then :D

15 mm plastic is not suitable for oil.
There is a product called Qual oil that is made for this purpose.
It is not to be used above ground though.
Inspection chambers need to be fitted at each end to enable the transition to copper.
Fitting a sub standard oil line will cost dearly if you have a spillage.

Your safest option is to use 10mm plastic coated copper.

It is also a controlled service that needs Building reg notification.

There is 15mm plastic coated copper pipe too - I thought it best to use this in an application where the boiler was miles away and there was an Aga on the same line.
Normally 10mm is perfectly ok.
John :)

Can you get 15mm plastic coated in 35mtr lengths?

thanks Terrywookfit, when i said plastic pipe i mean't the 15mm qual pipe

Thanks, worth bearing in mind for something, at some point, some day! :D
