Hi Guys,

I have an atlas 2500l tank I need to move , rebed the foundations and put back.

It's nearly empty so almost ready to go

The plastic coated oil pipe that connects to the tank appears to be just pushed on , which I doubt .... is it usually swagged on ?

Thanks in advance for all replies View media item 34273 View media item 34274 [/img]

It is in a compression fitting i.e. nut and olive. Loosen the nut to remove.

Sounds to easy !

Unscrewing the nut will make the fitting comming off turn in the pipe presumably ?

What about re-assembly , use something like Hylomar Universal Blue Gasket Sealant ?

Sorry, not sure I understand. The nut will loosen but the pipe won't turn. You can reassemble with some sealant but it's not required if done properly.

Plug or tape over the hole in the pipe & the valve so you dont get any muck or water in.

By the way those slabs should be set onto at least 100mm of concrete as per BS!! ;)
