OK need some assurance with my HTG diverter please

going to try it ... if it works then the motor is ok i guess. if not then motor is faulty.

what about the lever though - why does it get floppy? what does that mean?

tried to do it but my cylinder thermostat dial is very stiff and when i put a screwdriver in it to turn it it split a bit of the plastic dial and would not budge! so i do not want to damage it any further and brak that too!

what else can i do...

right you still have 230 v on grey hw satisfied.
lever in manual pos pushed over
and wall stat calling power on white.
if all correct faulty micro switch or wiring board in actuator.

cheers seco services i think i shall buy a new actuator and change it tomorrow when i am more relaxed and have plenty of time. as this is the problem.

i was confused as the manual lever would not spring back as someone mentioned earlier and i don't know what that actually 100% means? what does that mean though if the lever does not spring back? does it mean a faulty actuator also?

if your valve is hw port shut satisfied the lever will be floppy.
if your hw is calling heating port shut the lever will have resistance.
so if your motor is knackered you can pull lever across into mid position and get heating and hw.

Hi: to put it simple, if your room stat has voltage to it's call terminal when programmed ON, but your mid position valve isn't opening and switching on the pump and boiler, then the actuator/motor is faulty and needs replacing.
