I have run a 2.5mm radial under my floor from CU area to kitchen. So far I have let it rest loose unclipped on the concrete block wall pillars which support the floor, so not dangling on the floor. Ends taken up through the floor adjacent to the walls either end ready for connection (2.9Kw 2-ring hob one end, and a 20A breaker the other). Considering enclosing the cable in a metal trunk but can only see conduit which at lengths avail (3m) means cannot get it under the floor and would now have to take the cable out again. Is there a metal version of trunking like the plastic with a clipable lid? Hoping the sparky will not quibble at the run w/o the cable being enclosed as there are other cables around the space (50cm between joist and concrete subfloor). Thanks.

Leave as is unless you have a rodent problem or other reason. It will pull more current/overheat less without conduit
