Not sure which forum I should post this in ..

But I have an old concrete drain cover in my back garden. It's the cover of a combined rain/grey/waste drain.

It looks pretty rusted in - it's size seems to be:

530mm x 680mm in size

I've not spent much time trying to lift it, but it feels pretty solid and maybe even stuck. It has eyelets at either end I guess for a key/tool to lift it

Is this a standard/common size cover does anyone know, and would it be possible to replace it with a more modern lighter cover?

Thx

It’s a bit bigger than standard but you should be able to get something from one of the merchants or online. You will have to replace the lid and frame.

Would this not belong to water company? If so, get them to do it.

It may if the chamber contains a shared sewer, but even if so, good luck with getting them to do anything unless the cover is damaged/broken and/or in a dangerous condition.
