Hi

Have an old flue approx 2 foot long going through the wall. It is stuck solid and seems to be cemented in place.

Should I just keep bashing at it or just fill it with insulation and cement over it? I prefer not to leave it as exterior wall is white and this thing is bound to rust?

Thanks
Mike

I would stuff it with rockwool give the exposed rim a good coat of rust preventing paint and stick a dummy tumble dryer white vent over it on the outside.

Looks like a section of twinwall. If you get a crowbar and lever the inner into the flueway and basically collapse it inwards you should be able to knock it out. Once the inner is out the way do the same to the outer, then brick up the hole.

You need to cut off any bend section first though
