I've tried searching the forum but can't find the answer.... I need to bed a cast shower tray onto a raised base. I plan to use waterproof tile adhesive (cement based) onto a marine ply base, can anyone advise what thickness of ply I should use? Thanks

Mine's 30mm, on three 75mm timber supports, onto a concrete floor. You might need thicker if it's on a bouncy chipboard floor, but I don't know.

I use 25mm green chipboard on 100 x 50mm timbers and bed it onto an inch of 3 parts sand 1 part cement mix. 6" soffit makes the edging panel.

Thanks for the responses, appreciated.
