Need to replace my old and unsightly bath taps for new ones. Its the first time I've attempted anything of this nature and am well aware of the forfiet for a failed attempt ie water all over the place. Any one give me any sound adivce before I commit meself.
1. Work out to get control of the water. If you have a valve that's seized or not fully shutting off, start by replacing that valve with a new one of good quality.
2. Ensure that you understand the nature of the existing supplies to your existing taps, in terms of how much pressure is available. Only buy taps that are compatible with that pressure, or you may be disappointed with the flow rate of the new ones.
3. If you've never done any plumbing before, read up on the forum about the project you're about to undertake.
