Just had new boiler and cylinder fitted this week all went good except i had to move timer in airing cupboard for hot water as it was fastened to shelf support but found it is a second hand timer...warranty ended 2002
i heard installer ringing around as wholesaler did not have one in stock but i did not know he's put a second hand one in... i need to ring owner tommorrow to ask when they are coming back to change it but not looking forward to it i hope he doesn't get funny. it's a UT1L with only 2 options to set timer not 3 on/off as i want and want a weekend option if possible. do you think i will have any trouble getting them to change it

If they are a good company they will probably be horrified that a second hand programmer went in so dont worry about it

It may NOT a second hand timer!

Its probably new but has been on a shelf for a long time.

If you specifically specified what switching facilities you wanted then they should give you what you asked for. Its always better to have it in writing though!

Last week we were delivered a new timer from the nation's second largest plumbing and heating wholesaler.

Box looked an old design, so looked inside, warranty expired 1998!
