Olive

Never not been able to get in with a junior hacksaw
!
You've never had a 3 port with a fitting right up to the nut so the won't go back up the pipe. I certainly have.

I'm with softus on this on i'm afraid to say

These olive cutter's are superb and worth the money. I have had my set (15 and 22) for a few years now and they have saved me loads of messing about.
Also the arguement about not being able to slide the nut past enough to clear the olive would apply to the hacksaw method aswell, only option is to cut the nut off first in both situations! The cutters are the same width as an olive itself so it's extremly rare for this to be an issue in my experience.
I have only once nicked the pipe and that was my own fault as they were not on the pipe straight!

Having said that, neither method is right or wrong, just a matter of personal preference, just don;t knock the cutter's until you've tried them!

Chrisr if your going to nit pick be constructive if that was the case you would not get an olive puller in either which is what this topic is about.

In that case i would use my big ten inch olive removers to lever nut and olive off at same time commonly known as grips
