A lot of us have been here for 10 years or so in one form or another and have helped build a site that someone else can make money from. A little respect returned isn't too much to ask for those long standing members.

Makes you laugh when relative new comers use advertising revenue to try and justify their posts over others. I can tolerate the likes of Bernard, he obviously will meaning although totally ignorant. But there are others that are borderline dangerous. Thank the maker someone had a word with Joe90 and stopped that prat from coming in here.

Well I think that any Mod should not be posting in a forum anyway. It takes the bias away and does not allow for proper moderation as there will always be a conflict of interest. I think I know who a couple of mods are on here and some may be closer to the site owners than they should be too

Not sure who the third would be though? You may have mentioned one before and the other we managed to get removed from modding the CC if I am thinking the same lines as you?

I'm all for a discussion but as you say there are many (well a couple on multiple user names) that are downright dangerous and they should be banned straight away. The TRV thread has gotten out of hand and has all the signs of an old poster so if we can see it why can the mods not. They have been banned on other names so just remove them or block the IP address where they all appear from.

I might just start trolling the posts like that now just to get a stop to it!!

Totally ignorant ? Maybe not fully informed but willing to learn. And I will learn if I need to increase my knowledge for a project or commission.

There is a difference in quality between the knowledge that is trained into people and the knowledge that is obtained by learning and education.

Many tradesmen in many trades are well trained in what they have to do in their trade and how to do it. For many this is all they are interested in as it is all that is needed to earn a living. When asked why they perform the task in the way they do they cannot provide a reason. That is bad training but it happens too often.

Some people like to learn the reason why things have to be done in a certain way.
