One coat plaster

Hi all i have just plaster boarded approximately 2 square meters of ceiling in my porch.
Due to the covid 19 pandemic I am unable to get any board finish plaster or multi finish plaster anywhere.
I do have a bag of one coat plaster.
Can I use this instead?

Hello mate, I've just found some plasterboard and multi finish advertised near me. It's not cheap but it's cheaper than anywhere else I have seen. It's an unknown brand though, so I will report back once I have used it if you are interested.

You can use one coat, normally involves sponging it so get a sponge float
