Hello,
I have a newish radiator fitted in my lounge. It's acting strangely. It's a single skin with a honeywell thermostatic valve on the left pipe. Anyway turning my heating on only half of the radiator is getting hot. It's hot from top to bottom, but not the full length. The strange thing is the side that is hot is the right side pipe which has a standard valve fitted. If I grab hold of the upcoming pipe that has the thermostatic valve fitted it's stone cold, yet the right hand side is scalding. I know that a couple of my other radiators have sludge build up as they are 30 years old and only get hot at the top. I have replaced 2 radiators and they get scalding and belt loads of heat out, however my louge one with this thermostatic valve it's quite big doesn't do much. At first I thought my thermostatic valve was on the wrong side, but looking around my house they all seem to be fed on the left hand side and return on the right.
Any help would be appreciated.
