I have the above energy monitor unfortainatly the battery has gone flat on the sender when I opened it they were discovered to be rechargeable with a very small plug in device on the end, I communicated with southern energy to find out if they could send me a charger, they informed me that it was my responsibility, can anyone advise me on a charger.

Google "ONZO POWER MONITOR"

and you'll find lots of people have issues with the batteries.

It seems you can easily replace them with standard cells see
http://littlegreenblog.com/green-technology/energy-saving/review-of-onzo-energy-monitor/
for example.

****You could have done this research for yourself, by the way.****

PS The instructions, or the power socket itself must have information on the requirements for the charger. What does it say?
Then pop down to Maplin, etc for the right one.

UPDATE

Onzo’s display business, including the Smart Energy Kit and ZigBee In Home Displays has been acquired by SSE.

That means any queries would be handled by SSE, so the best of luck!

I had one of these from SSE about a year ago, they have since recalled the batteries as they are faulty and have advised all customers to use standard AA batteries in the unit or leave it plugged into the mains via the charger unit. I bought a set of AA rechargeable batteries for mine which on average lasts about a month and a half on one charge.
