Ok i've got a bit of a problem and am unsure who i can get to fix it,

Earlier in the year we had a plumber in to do some central heating work for which he needed to turn of the mains which he did on the rising main stop cock in the house this then started to leak after he left, so........

I went outside and broke the handle off the main stop cock trying to isolate the mains.

Can i get a plumber in to do a repair or is it down to the water board????

Yes I feel like heavy handed gimp but its playing on my mind that winters coming and i'll be knackered if we get a burst pipe.

Any thoughts/ advice would be great thanks

You'll have to hope that Anglian Water are more sensible than Thames!

Round here, if you report a failed street valve and you have no meter, they're as likely to remove the valve altogether as repair it!

One way to DEFINITELY have a working valve FoC is to request a meter.
