Just spilt a rather large blob of radiator sludge on a light coloured carpet, any tips for removing it? I heard power flux works, but i seriously doubt it?

Gawd, what a stupid thing to do.

When I did it, at least I had the sense to do it on green carpet.
It was all the way from the upstairs bedroom through the landing, down the stairs and through the hallway to the front door though.

Householder did not even blink, got some granules, put them on it and rubbed it away with a damp cloth. Completely gone, never seen anything like it. I think it was called stain devil.

I also have some "EGR" spray, which is professional carpet cleaning stuff. Litre price is about the same as 400 year old single malt, but still a lot cheaper than a new carpet.

If all else fails, try a janitorial supplier, probably called "domestic hygiene specialist managers" these days.

DS40 solution usually helps or solves it.

If water dissolves sludge, why is it so hard to get it out of rads
I have found that prevention is far better than the cure when it comes to sludge on carpets.
Unless you want to learn more about extremely bad language that is.
Or how many ways punters know how to end your life both painfully and prematurely.

Stain devil.
Ah yes , colour remover.
Apparently there are different types.
