Hi everybody, just had our chimney swept today and the sweep was saying that our fire looks like a Baxi Burnall however, it doesn’t have the underfloor draft flap. Instead it has a control knob that seems to open a small strip on the front of the fire. Has anyone seen one of these before?

An open fire has to have a permanent air vent so yours may have been put in close to the fire to avoid drafts being drawn from further across the room.

Thanks for these. Unfortunately whatever we have fitted is NOT an actual Baxi but something else similar. The air isn’t drawn from under the floor but rather from the room via a small adjustable flap at the front of the fireplace (see pictures on original post)
