opening up what used to be a doorway between lounge and dini

Hi, I'm after some advice please.
I have found a door shaped hollow sounding part of the wall between my lounge and dinning room. I'm assuming it was a doorway. Would it be very difficult to open this doorway back up? What would be involved?

Cut a hole in the plasterboard and take a look , may still have door lining , then all you would need is a door and new architrave.
